Cembrane is widely applied in a number of industrial water treatment applications. for example as pre-treatment to reverse osmosis or nano filtration. Moreover, it enables filtration of fluids where organic and other ceramic membrane fall short, such as presence of high or low pH, solvents, polymers & oxidants.
The durability is manifested in a low fouling tendency with long backwash frequencies and ability to withstand periodic high sludge loadings up to 50.000 ppm without clogging. The membrane can always be regenerated due to the fact that it enables high pressure backwash, high pressure cleaning and backpulse as well as a chemical resistance permitting cleaning with harsh chemicals. Additionally, the membrane has one of the highest flux rates for any membrane material, which gives an exceptionally low packing density and thereby limited tank footprint.
