The Filter Integrity Test, which uses smoke as a detection method, is usually referred to as a DOP test. This is because the original smoke used for this test was made using the chemical Di-Octyl Phthalate. However, as this substance was found to be carcinogenic, mineral oil is now used with identical results.
The new smoke and aerosol generators in Concepts 'Clean Room Solutions' range are used throughout the world by major blue chip pharmaceutical, nuclear and clean room specialists for their HEPA filter, ULPA filtration testing, air flow visualisation work and particle recovery tests.
For Air Flow Visualisation and particle recovery work, our portable, water based MiniColt 4S generators are ideal as they enable the tester to move from one part of the room to another, making smoke, in order to ‘see’ if the flow of air is correct, this system can also be ducted.
