Waste recycling solutions for waste to energy RDF / SRF production sector - Waste and Recycling - Waste to Energy

SHARE

Refuse derived fuel (RDF)is made from residual Municipal Solid Waste and includes biodegradable waste products such as paper and card as well as plastics. It has a lower calorific value than solid recovered fuel (SRF). RDF is used in combined heat and power facilities. Solid recovered fuel (SRF) is produced from commercial waste and includes paper, card, wood, textiles and plastic. It is typically shredded to < 30mm and treated to reduce the moisture content. Solid recovered fuel has a high calorific value and is used in facilities such as cement kilns.

Kiverco’s state of the art RDF / SRF production facilities comprise the latest in shredding, screen, air, magnetic and baling technology to present you with a waste derived fuel at the greatest value per tonne. Kiverco plant is extremely robustly built, easy to maintain and designed to minimise energy requirements. With a Kiverco plant you benefit from an RDF and SRF produced to required industry standards including calorific value, chlorine and moisture content.

The plant below has been designed to process up to 100,000 tonnes of mixed waste per annum, with the option to recover key products for recycling and to process the residual waste into an RDF product, which can then be baled and wrapped prior to transportation to the end user.
