Manganese removal takes place often at the same time as iron removal. In manganese pH value plays more important role. The setup is the same as in iron removal. The solution consists of OxTube, possibly GasRemox and sand filters. This solution can be installed into separate container or inside of the pump house. Both systems can be installed also afterwards to the water system.

Either compressed air or free breathing of air is used to increase the DO in the water and this transfers the dissolved Fe2+ into Fe3+ precipitated for and sand filter will then filter the iron from the water. GasRemox can help to remove the unwanted gases that are separed when aerating the water with OxTube.
