BIOBOOMS® act by containing a spreading spill while the PRP® inside captures hydrocarbons and ultimately facilitating natural microbes consuming it and eliminating it entirely. Whether the spill is in open water, a marina, a holding pond or a river, BIOBOOM® hold the spill in place while the PRP® works, facilitating the degradation of the oil and PRP® into water and carbon dioxide. There is no toxic waste requiring tedious and expensive disposal.

Standard and custom lengths up to 10 feet (3m), each BIOBOOM® contains up to 10 lbs (4.5kg) of PRP®. BIOBOOM® can be linked together to form a larger barrier. When the PRP® comes in contact with oil or other hydrocarbons, it immediately absorbs up to twice its weight in contaminant and degrades much more over time.

When the BIOBOOM® becomes saturated with oil, simply leave it in place until the PRP® degrades the oil and itself. Then throw away the empty sleeve in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. It is quick, clean and easy.
