Bird deterrent results of Aebi Schmidt: reduced maintenance costs, improved sanitation and completely eliminated bird nuisance

Aebi Schmidt, the global leader of smart product systems and services for the treatment of mission-critical infrastructural and agricultural areas, achieved a 100% reduction in bird activity in their storage and shipping areas with the installation of the laser bird deterrent.

Aebi Schmidt develops and manufactures equipments for road surface maintenance. The company has a leading position in the European market. Aebi Schmidt Nederland is a part of the international Aebi Schmidt Group located in Holten, the Netherlands. The products on site at this facility include de-icing vehicles and devices. The outdoor storage area proved to be very attractive to crows and pigeons, and the birds’ nesting activity soon became difficult to control. Facilities staff were continuously cleaning storage units and making repairs to rooftop air conditioning units and wiring. “It takes about one hour to clean each container spreader. Imagine how much time and money we could have saved!” stated Madien.

With their unique problem and facility design in mind, Madien and her colleagues searched on the Internet for a permanent, efficient way of bird deterrent. They watched numerous videos and read multiple articles on the topic, and concluded that Bird Control Group products might suit their requirements. The team discussed their needs with Bird Control Group; ordered the Autonomic; and had it installed in a short timeframe.

The facilities staff is convinced the bird deterrent laser is a success! Madien also emphasized the easiness of installation: “We were positively surprised that it didn’t require any extra efforts to install the device.” The team was even able to program the laser for bird deterrent in the evenings to protect the client vehicles they store outdoors.“It is a very effective device for bird deterrent! We have used Autonomic over six months, and we have achieved great results! We are absolutely happy with our purchase!”

Based on the results Aebi Schmidt achieved, Madien Smeenk has expressed a strong belief in the potential for Bird Control Group’s products in the market. The technology offers benefits to small farmers as well as large agricultural and industrial operations, all of which can attain a long-term, sustainable solution for their bird problems.
