CAC 2003 Environment Canada - Case Study

Building upon our substantial technologies for emissions estimation, Lakes Environmental Software was contracted to create a customized software solution to estimate the 7 Criteria Air Contaminants (TPM, PM10, PM2.5, SOX or SO2, NOX, VOC, and CO) to speciate the 60 reportable VOC species from each specific process (as classified by SCC). Speciation calculations use the USEPA FIRE and SPECIATE databases.

This solution is designed to require a minimum of data requirements; the user can simply choose a process description and the relevant materials processed and an appropriate emission factor will be supplied. The user can indicate which applicable control technologies were used, and has total over-ride control to dictate the final, reported pollutant emissions.

As is shown by the screen shots included here, this interface is available in either French or English, with full documentation and support provided in the chosen language.
