The challenge: What counts in the highly sensitive medical device manufacturing market? Hygiene. Hygiene. Hygiene. At the beginning of the pandemic, the international medical technology company Ottobock was confronted with the challenge of ensuring the production and distribution of its products. After all, thousands of people around the world rely on the company’s high-quality prosthetics, orthotics and human mobility products. For the German group, the task was to create environmental conditions right from the start of the pandemic under which the more than 8,000 employees in over 50 locations could continue to carry out their work. In addition, top management wanted to ensure that sales staff, customers and, of course, users and patients themselves were optimally protected against COVID-19.

Ottobock found a solution in the Calistair C300. An air purifier that virtually eliminates any indoor air contamination. Reason enough not only to place the mobile air purifier in its own workshops and branch offices, but also to equip retailers with it and ultimately even to sell the C300 itself. The Calistair C300 is a mobile solution that eliminates almost all coronaviruses from the air. Technically, the Calistair C300 air purifier is designed to destroy viruses without leaving any residue. In addition, bacteria, fungi, spores, allergens as well as volatile organic compounds are also eliminated.

In its method of operation, the device equipped with Calistair technology differs from the well-known HEPA filters: the Calistair C300 destroys microorganisms instead of just filtering them out of the air. Thus, it creates perfect conditions for the best hygiene and contamination protection.

Operations were able to continue without interruption. Customers and employees were largely spared from airborne coronaviruses.
