Confirming Remediation Effectiveness GeoTrax Survey - Case Study

Our GeoTrax Survey technology was used to verify the effectiveness of 10 years and ~$1.4M worth of investigation, pump/treat, surfactant flushing, and oxidizing compound injection. The GeoTrax SurveyTM detected “blobs” of LNAPL (gasoline) remaining between remediation wells as shown above. An EPA managed boring program confirmed the survey results; samples were collected from each boring at 0.5 feet intervals and analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH). The highest TPH values encountered at this site were detected post-remediation using Aestus’ GeoTrax Survey.
