Detention Tank - Seminary expansion, PA, U.S.A. - Case Study
- Project Location: Seminary expansion , PA, U.S.A.
- Project Details: Stormwater Detention Tank for a parking lot
- Completion Date: June 2008
The use of the Atlantis® Matrix®/D-Raintank® Modules as underground post construction storm water management (PCSWM) storage facility prevented the need for a detention basin in the seminary grounds.
The use of Atlantis® Matrix®/D-Raintank® Modules in a detention tank system with adequate filtration achieves the goals of the local municipality to reduce the discharge of pollutants to the maximum extent practicable, to protect water quality, and to satisfy the appropriate water quality requirements of the Clean Water Act.
The Atlantis® Matrix®/D-Raintank® Modules are designed to protect against urban flooding and downstream erosion by storing water for a limited period of a time. The Atlantis® Matrix®/D-Raintank® Modules are typically built during the construction and renovation or land development projects managing the excess runoff generated by newly-constructed impervious surfaces such as roads, parking lots and rooftops.
