The Challenge
Hanover County is located within the Commonwealth of Virginia in the United States and provides public and government services to county residents. Enriched with American history and founded in 1720, Hanover County celebrates its 300th birthday in 2020.
Frustrated with manual processes using Excel and Word, they needed a solution that would reduce time-consuming EHS processes (filling out forms, faxing, filing) as they found employees were reluctant to carry out incident reporting because of the labour involved.

The solution selected to manage EHS for Hanover County needed to be simple and straightforward – it required the capability to analyse data and automate insurance claims submission to improve internal processes so the team could focus on other tasks.
Together with Hanover County, Emex worked on a solution that would give them a holistic view of EHS performance, eliminate siloed data, increase reporting, reduce admin burden, and store all data in one centralised system to quickly update management.
