This research institute deals with inspection tests and research for pesticide residue, additives, and toxic substances in food.
Application: Determination of pesticides in food
The company is located in a city whose speciality is mandarin orange. The frits have to be frequently analyzed for pesticides. This application needs two types of solid phase columns in series for sample preparation. Thanks the combination of Syncore and SPE we could improve the procedures by direct elution into the evaporation tube, followed by the concentration step.
Equipment: Syncore® Analyst R-12 SPE and V-700 and V-855
Syncore with SPE module is used for the purpose of solid phase extraction and its condensation. The condensation procedure is stopped automatically at a certain volume. Thanks to the vacuum gradient function of the V-855 and Flush Back module on Syncore, analysis results are very good even if the target volume in the sample is very small.
Benefit / Conclusion:
We can condense twelve samples simultaneously without any diffi culty in handling. The benefit is the ability to do other jobs during the condensation procedure. Work effi ciency increases. It took a long time in the days when this process was done manualy.
