THE CLIENT
The Client is based on a Danish island, used since the Middle Ages for salt production. This activity was resumed in 1991, first for teaching purposes by the local school, and then for organised production by establishing a company.

THE CLIENT`S REQUEST
Finding a treatment solution able to reduce the disposal cost of the coffee wastewater generated by one of the coffee capsules manufacturing production sites in Italy. Furthermore, it is requested to achieve and comply with the local discharge or even reuse.

RESULTS
- Water recovery: ∼93%
- Concentration factor: 15 times
- Wastewater disposal cost reduction (in the future the concentrate will be sent to a Biogas Plant to produce Electrical Energy);
- Distillate discharge in compliance with the stringent local limits or reuse for floor cleaning.
