Faced with increased raw materials costs, the Unilever wanted to maximize the performance of its detergent powder manufacturing plant in New Zealand. The plant is home to a spray dryer that produces over 50,000 tonnes per year of six different concentrate and conventional detergent base powder products at a rate of 8 – 12 tonnes per hour.
