This video is meant to be a general wastewater overview that will examine secondary treatment. In secondary treatment biodegradable organic matter and suspended solids are removed, including unseen pollutants. This program discusses fixed growth systems, including trickling filters, which serve the dual purpose of filtering the wastewater and supporting the biological growth that feeds on the waste materials.
Understand that no two treatment plants are identical and, although there are variations among treatment technologies and plant designs, the science remains the same. Approx. 30 mins.
