Thermal Spray Coating

A&A Coatings - High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) Coating

The High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) process is developed to produce high quality metal, carbide and various specialty coatings. A complete line of powders is available, which is specifically engineered for application with the HVOF system. The commercialization of this coating technology now affords many industries the ability to use unique coating properties and extend the range of applications which previously could only be performed by proprietary coating processes.

Proprietary Coatings

A&A Coatings - Proprietary Coating

A&A Coatings is a unique plant devoted exclusively to the application of metal, ceramic, cermet and hard faced coatings. Years of experience with these processes led to the development of Cerami-Pak® coatings for the packaging industry. These coatings are a special family of ceramic fluorocarbon composite materials developed specifically for the film and packaging industries.

A&A Coatings - Proprietary Coating

A proprietary coating service developed for EPI reactors, hex reactors, CVD systems, and ion implanters, Microcoat® is a novel offering by A&A Coatings. We are a unique company devoted exclusively to the application of metal, ceramic, cermet and hardface coatings, years of experience with this process led to the development of Microcoat™ coatings for the electronics industry. These coatings were developed years ago, while working with the early developers of reactive ion etching techniques to overcome problems associated with the manufacture of integrated circuits.

A&A Coatings - Wirewear Protective Coating

A&A Coatings has been experimenting for over 20 years on a new friction lowering technique by coating wire drawing capstans, pulleys and other components with low friction, non-sticking, abrasion resistant mixtures. Finally, A&A Coatings has perfected a mixture, trademarked Wirewear® coating. This new material shows a substantial improvement in the manufacture of both ferrous and non-ferrous wire for size ranging from .031 to .375.

Spray Application Materials - HVOF Spray Materials

A&A Coatings - Aluminum Bronze Coatings Material

A&A Coatings material is a fine grade aluminum bronze powder. When sprayed with the HVOF process, dense, high bond strength coatings are produced. These deposits can be readily machined, milled, drilled/tapped or otherwise finished. This unique set of physical properties makes Aluminum Bronze ideally suited to restoration of worn or mis- machined non-ferrous components. This coating is recommended for soft bearing applications and to resist wear by fretting, hard surfaces and cavitation.

A&A Coatings - Chromium Carbide Coatings Material

A&A Coatings material is a blend (75/25) of very fine particles of chromium carbide and nickel chromium powders. When properly sprayed using the HVOF process, it produces coatings which are very hard, dense and well bonded. Because of its unique combination of properties, HVOF Chromium Carbide is recommended for resistance to wear by fretting, abrasive particles and hard surfaces in the temperature range 540°- 815°C (1000°-1500°F).

Spray Application Materials - Plasma Spray Materials

A&A Coatings - Plasma Aluminum-Graphite Composite Material

A&A Coatings material was specifically developed to provide a plasma sprayed, abradable clearance control coating for gas turbine engines with titanium alloy, and possibly aluminum alloy rotors operating at 315-425°C (600-800°F).

Spray Application Materials - Spray and Fuse Hardfacing Materials

A&A Coatings - Spray and Fuse Nickel Chrome Boron Material

A&A Coatings Nickel-Chrome-Boron material is one of several self-fluxing alloys that is designed to be “fused”, or remelted in a normal atmosphere, after being sprayed. They then coalesce into a dense, essentially pore-free coating.
