AAA Training - BOHS P402 Surveying and Sampling Strategies Course for Asbestos in Buildings

Asbestos surveyors play an important role in ensuring that building premises are safe for normal occupational use. They also play a crucial role during refurbishment and demolition works to identify the asbestos within the scope of the proposed works, for it to be removed safely. The P402 – Surveying and Sampling Strategies for Asbestos in Buildings qualification give surveyors the necessary knowledge and skills to identify and safely survey buildings for asbestos.

AAA Training - AA008 Asbestos Awareness Working with Notifiable and Non-Notifiable Asbestos-Containing Materials (ACMs)

Those who may be exposed to asbestos during their work or work in the near vicinity to asbestos products are required to receive adequate and sufficient training so that they understand the risks. Students will learn about safe working procedures for work with notifiable and non-notifiable asbestos-containing materials during the course, together with information about what asbestos is, where you can find it in buildings, the health effects from breathing in the fibres together with how risk from exposure to the fibres can be controlled. They will also be taught emergency procedures to follow if they discover broken ACMs or disturb the products themselves.
