Abasco - Model Type 1 - Turbidity Curtain

Type 1 turbidity curtains, also referred to as type 1 silt curtains, are floating barriers that are designed to control various sediments or runoff in calm waters. There are two versions of type 1 curtains, including Type 1: Light Duty and Type 1: DOT. Type 1 DOT curtains are used in areas that require DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. ABASCO offers Type 1 Light Duty and Type 1 DOT curtains for all calm water applications.

Abasco - Model Type 2 - Silt Barriers

Type 2 turbidity curtains are best used to contain silt and turbidity in moving water applications. Type 2 silt barriers are manufactured using high strength fabric with heavy duty tension members, along with aluminum stress plates that the bottom skirt corners. These type 2 turbidity curtains are best used in dredging and marine construction areas that experience mild current, wind, and wave activity. ABASCO manufactures DOT (Department of Transportation) certified type 2 turbidity curtains.

ABASCO Type 3 Turbidity Curtains, also referred to as Type III Turbidity Curtains, combine our standard high-strength fabric with heavy duty tension members above and below the flotation and at the bottom of the curtain), fabric reinforcement, and stress plates a the bottom skirt corners. Type 3 silt barriers are ideal for silt and sediment control during dredging and marine construction activities in rivers, bays and waterways with moderate current, wind and wave activity.

Abasco - Model ATS-10 - Single Bank Tri-Skimmer

A lightweight rotary tri-skimmer that features interchangeable brush, drum and disk oil-recovery banks for recovering light, medium and heavy viscosities at high rates. Oil is collected by the rotating oleophilic recovery banks and is removed for collection by scraper blades. A transfer pump, mounted to the skimmer or placed on the shore or vessel, transfers the oil into a collection tank via a 2-in or 3-in hose. The skimmer and pump can both be hydraulically powered and controlled by a dual-circuit diesel/hydraulic power pack or by separate power systems. The skimming system can also be operated pneumatically using compressed air packages.

Abasco - Model ATS-25 - Single Bank Tri-Skimmer

The ATS-25 rotary tri-skimmer features interchangeable brush, disk, and drum oil-recovery banks to handle the full range of oil types and viscosities. It is compact, lightweight, and easy to deploy and offers excellent recovery rates. The skimmer and pump can both be hydraulically powered and controlled by a dual-circuit diesel/hydraulic power pack or by separate power systems. The skimming system can also be operated pneumatically using compressed air packages.

Abasco - Model ATS-40 - Dual-Bank Skimmer

The ABASCO ATS-40 Skimmer is designed for use in harbors and coastal regions. Interchangeable dual recovery banks with brush-, disk- or drum-type banks to recover light to heavy oils. Oil is collected by the rotating oleophilic recovery banks and is removed for collection by scraper blades. A transfer pump, mounted to the skimmer or placed on the shore or vessel, transfers the oil into a collection tank via a 3-in or 4-in hose. The skimmer and pump can both be hydraulically powered and controlled by a dual-circuit diesel/hydraulic power pack or by separate power systems. The skimmer can also be operated by a hydraulic control panel connected to the ship's hydraulic system. The skimming system can also be operated pneumatically using compressed air packages.
