Flameproof Ex d enclosures in Stainless Steel or Aluminium, suitable for housing potentially sparking equipment in hazardous areas. Designed is to prevent the propagation of an internal explosion to the surrounding explosive atmosphere, and protecting the internal components from the environment, humidity, dirt, dust or water. This form of protection allows many potentially sparking components that are not suitable for use with Ex e or Ex i enclosures to be safely installed within a hazardous area. The SSD is a flexible range of explosion proof (Ex d) enclosures. The stainless version of range utilises a fabricated design approach so in addition to standard sizes, we supply any size of an enclosure as long as each dimension falls within the range of smallest to largest size. This affords the range a unique flexibility, allowing customers the ability to employ cost-effective, custom sized enclosures in their application.

The SX is a range of stainless steel enclosures designed and certified for use in the most arduous hazardous areas on the planet. Manufactured from marine grade 316L (1.404) stainless steel and with complete stainless steel fixings, the SX range features high levels of impact (IK10) and ingress protection (IP66/67/68 and Type 4X). The enclosure has also been DTS-01 deluge tested.

The BPG is a range of Glass Reinforced Polyester (GRP) enclosures for use in both onshore and offshore hazardous locations. These enclosures are available in a range of sizes and come in either Grey (IK08) to carbon loaded Black (IK09). The BPG is manufactured from SMC layered GRP material to provide maximum protection against impact and the effects of ultraviolet radiation.

Corrosion-resistant Stainless Steel enclosures that can be easily configured to provide localised control for electrical equipment such as pumps, motors and lighting installations. Based on Abtech`s SX enclosure range, the SXCS combines a wide range of sizes with pre-defined operator layouts. The proven stainless steel enclosure also ensures the highest levels of corrosion and ingress protection, even in the toughest of offshore or extreme environmental conditions. Available with a wide range of momentary and fixed pushbuttons, switches, indicators, emergency stop devices and voltage or current metres, the SXCS can be configured to provide the required operation, indication or measurement of the connected electrical equipment. Ex-certified control station components from a number of 3rd party manufacturers can be fitted to the SXCS. Please refer to the associated hazardous area certificates for further details.

The Abtech AAG gland is designed for use with armoured cable types and features a double compression seal both on the outer and inner cable sheaths. The AAG is designed for use with single wire armour (W), wire braid (X), steel tape armour or screened flexible wire braid. The gland is rated IP66/67 and has an operating temperature range of -60°C to +100°C. The AAG is dual ATEX and IECEx certified and marked as Flameproof (Ex d) and Increased Safety (Ex e). As with all Abtech cable glands, the AAG range is supplied as standard in Nickel plated Brass. A Stainless Steel version is also available.

The Abtech ASG gland is designed for use with non-armoured cable types and features a single compression seal on the outer sheath. The ASG is designed for use with most types of non-armoured cable. The gland is rated IP66/67 and has an operating temperature range of -60°C to +100°C. The ASG is dual ATEX and IECEx certified and marked as Flameproof (Ex d) and Increased Safety (Ex e). As with all Abtech cable glands, the ASG range is supplied as standard in Nickel plated Brass. A Stainless Steel version is also available.
