The respirable size cut is a standard in many countries to monitor workplace exposure to harmful dusts. This compact inlet allows for simple ergonomic sampling in the breathing zone without the hassle of large dangling cyclone assemblies.

Easily check flow against a flow primary or get creative using the UPAS as a sampler apart from the thread on inlets. Place this adapter (left) over any of the inlets shown here and connect a flow meter (e.g., Alicat Scientific MWB-5SLPM-D) to confirm that the volumetric flow rate through the inlet and filter matches the target value.

Our universal second generation cartridge is reusable. The cartridges are a key part of what allow the full stack of inlet+ cartridge + sampler to maintain such a low profile. All of the “2nd generation” inlets shown on this sheet are used with the same 37-mm filter cartridge (right; actual size).

Want to sample onto an open-faced inlet and filter cartridge? That’s also an option! Like our size selective inlets, the open-faced inlet is compatible with the calibration adapter.
