ACCON GmbH advises companies with respect to all issues related to environmental noise and acoustics. Utilising our in-depth experience we are able to build a noise model for calculating the sound propagation, which contains all relevant sound sources, the structural conditions of the terrain model and the relevant noise loaded areas in the neighborhood (Operational Noise Information System BLIS). Thus, the individual sources can be assessed for their noise contribution and if necessary, economically optimized concepts and mitigation measures will be developed to reduce noise. In addition, for any significant change of source on site the influence on the noise load can be determined in a cost effective manner. Where appropriate we can prepare an expert report for submission to the appropriate authorities.

In particular, employees at fabrication facilities may be exposed to high noise exposure levels. Even before installation of new production facilities, we advise our clients in respect of the optimal acoustic environment in order to ensure the health and safety of employees. In addition to a systematic inventory and description of the work place sound pressure levels at workstations which can be measured or predicted, the noise exposure levels at workplaces can be calculated and documented in an occupational noise exposure register.

ACCON is officially recognised for measurement according to § 26 BImSchG in the field of vibration and shock protection. With multi-channel measuring the vibration levels can be determined synchronously over a wide frequency range. This allows the measurements to detect the vibration transmissibility in the ground and in buildings to determine the vibration effects on humans, buildings or sensitive facilities.

Sporting activities can result in neighborhood complaints about the associated noise. To assess the extent of noise caused by sport facilities, in Germany the Noise Control Ordinance (18. BImSchV) came into force. In many cases, for such installations and events leading to the environmental protection law, the noise levels have to be demonstrated for approval by other parties.

As consultants in the field of air pollution control we provide expert reports on air quality for local authorities and the private sector. We use established state of the art immission forecast models and assess the results according to the regulations and directives that are applicable to the specific task. We calculate the dispersion and immission of air pollutants for a wide range of cases, which can be small scale tasks (e. g. immissions in a street canyon) to largely scaled regional evaluations (e. g. immissions from aircraft). In our analysis we can focus on various classes of pollutants, such as fine dust, gases and odor.
