Bio-Energy
Acorn Water - Iron(III) Oxide Hydroxide
Iron(III) Oxide Hydroxide, or Ferric(III) Oxide Hydroxide, is the main component in Ferrosorp and can be used to effectively remove hydrogen sulphide gas from treated wastewater. Hydrogen sulphide is the predominant cause of odour in wastewater treatment and anaerobic digestion. Ferrosorp is suitable for direct use in anaerobic digestors, sludge precipitation systems, and the processing of wastewater with high organic content.
CIP Solutions
Acorn Water - Acetic Acid
Acetic acid is used as a milk stone descaling agent and disinfectant during cleaning-in-place (CIP) of dairy processing equipment. It is a weak acid that has antimicrobial and antibacterial properties and is effective in dissolving milk stone (calcium and magnesium phosphate). It is also used to sterilise and disinfect water and processing equipment in commercial, industrial, and municipal settings. It is effective under a range of temperatures, pH and hard water conditions, and ultimately degrades to water, oxygen, and carbon dioxide; it is therefore suitable for applications in food processing and is relatively safe for the environment.
Acorn Water - Distilled Water
Water distilled in our laboratory is suitable for all consumer and industrial usage. This product is supplied in 25 L (litre) and 1,000 L sterile containers and has a distillate conductivity of 1-4 microsiemens/cm.
Ingredients and Chemicals
Acorn Water - Brine
Brine is a salt solution used as a secondary fluid in refrigeration. Adding salt to a solution lowers its freezing point so that it has a greater capacity for removing and transporting heat.
Acorn Water - Disodium Phosphate
Disodium phosphate is suitable for both yeast and bacteria growth enhancement and is a source of the essential nutrient phosphorous. We offer a broad range of top-quality phosphates for industrial, pharmaceutical, and technical applications.
Wastewater Treatment - Bio-Feed
Acorn Water - Molasses
Molasses is made of long chains of sugar that can be hydrolysed to single glucose units. Microorganisms use glucose as a direct source of energy to carry out cellular processes that remove nutrients and contaminants from industrial and municipal wastewater.
Wastewater Treatment - Coagulants and Flocculants
Acorn Water - Aluminium Chloride
Aluminium Chloride is a coagulant used for removal suspended particles and dissolved solids from industrial and municipal water and wastewater. It is efficient and does not leave residual colour in treated effluent.
Acorn Water - Aluminium Sulphate
Aluminium sulphate is a coagulant that effectively removes solid particles and colloidal material from both potable and industrial process waters—even those with relatively low turbidity. Aluminium sulphate can also be used to remove phosphates from wastewater for compliance with EU effluent discharge limits. We offer high-quality aluminium sulphate liquour and solid aluminium sulphate powder.

Acorn Water - Lamella separators
A lamella separator, also called a lamella clarifier, can be used to separate solid and liquid waste through sedimentation. Lamella separators are typically used to clarify municipal and industrial water supplies after coagulation or flocculation processes. Water is fed through the inlet valve and flows down into the inlet channel. From there, the water flows slowly upwards through the lamellae plates. The inclined walls of the plates provide a surface for solid material to settle on. Once settled, the solids slide downwards towards the bottom of the separator for collection and removal. Clarified water then exits the vessel at the top over the weir. Lamella separators are compact and efficient in solid-liquid separation.
