Adams - Check Valve

The proven design of the RZN is the basis for RZI valves, which can be installed in large-diameter or high-pressure pipelines and ar equipped with a multirate, adjustable, interval-damping system for particularly critical applications. The RZI provides adjustment for each damping rate and also timing-of-rate increase during check valve closure This means, the RZI can be tuned to precisely match the closing characteristics required by a pump installation to avert excessive pressure surge.

Due to the triple offset sealing system the disc moves smoothly and free of friction and opens uniformly at all points along the specially designed body seat. When the disc is closed, the seal ring is compressed tightly into the seat without jamming or extruding. Temperature variations are reliably compensated without impairment of function. All seal materials are reliable and designed for long life. Shafts are sealed by resilient seal rings or stuffing boxes. Choice of materials is determined according to media, pressure, and temperature conditions.

Adams - Block & Control Valve

These step seated or swingthrough throttle valves are ideal for optimum flow control of gaseous and liquid media. Streamlined disc profile gives low pressure loss and excellent control characteristic. Depending on control requirements, these valves are fitted with manual, electric, pneumatic or hydraulic actuators. Positioners, limit switches, and position transmitters are standard control options. The ASK and DSK may be fitted with spring-loaded stuffing boxes for easy in-field maintenance.

Compact external dimensions, short face-to-face dimensions at all pressure ratings, and low weight make the OSK an economical valve for pipelines transporting liquids or gases. The streamlined, duo-eccentrically mounted disc, together with the conical sealing system, ensure a smooth-flow passage. The continuous seal provides tight shut-off and low friction and wear characteristics. The shaft runs in self-lubricated bearings housed outside the flow stream and sealed against the media by O-rings or graphite rings. Rubber-lined carbon steel valves and anti-corrosion materials guarantee low maintenance, versatility, and long service life.

The WAK is a low cost design suitable for many duties. The streamlined disc moves smoothly without flutter. When the valve is closed the disc is pressed tightly against the seat which is incorporated into the body. Opening and closing are free of friction and jamming. The sealing system is completely integrated within the body utilizing the conventional ADAMS laminated metal/graphite sealing. The WAK is a general purpose valve for many applications involving fresh water, seawater, sewage, hydrocarbon and wet gas.

These combination valves developed from RZN and RZI basic types provide multifunction operation as tight shutoff, flow control, and non-return valves in a single, compact unit. They can take the place of shutoff and check valves and fulfill multiple application requirements most economically. The isolating and control actuator operates through a free travel coupling so that the freeacting hydraulically damped disc can close automatically without slamming, if the pump should fail.
