SIS Agilent - Model HP MS 5970 MSD and 599X Series - Filament
SIS manufactures the filaments for the Agilent Technologies MSD series mass spectrometer (Agilent/HP Models 5992, 5992A, 5992B, 5993, 5993B,5995, 5970, 5970A, etc.) These filaments are exact retrofits for the original Agilent Technologies filaments (#05990-60084). Strict quality control is adhered to when manufacturing these filaments. Each rhenium wire filament is accurately tensioned and aligned on an Agilent source block. The filament wire is accurately positioned over the ion source slit to assure optimum performance.
SIS Agilent - Model 5989 - Filament
SIS manufactures the strap or band style filaments for the Agilent Technologies 5989 and other 5980 series mass spectrometers (Agilent #05985-60179). The rhenium filament wire is accurately positioned, tensioned, and spot welded to the metal strap. The metal strap contains the pre-punched holes for easy installation.
SIS Ametek - Dycor RGA Filament
S.I.S.™ is proud to offer a direct replacement filament for the Ametek/Dycor RGA leak detector and quadrupole instruments. This is a thoriated iridium filament that has a platinum tab that tests show yields a longer service life. This filament replaces the filaments on the following Ametek/Dycor quadrupoles: Model M102, M106, M106M, M206, M206M, DM106, DM106M, DM206, DM206M, DM306, DM306M. SIS SGE PEEKsil - Fused Silica Lined PEEK Tubing
PEEKsil is polymer-sheathed fused silica tubing with an effective outside diameter of 1/32" or 1/16", and now in 0.36 mm. The sheathing polymer is polyether ether ketone (PEEK™) that is mechanically strong and has ideal characteristics for sealing with conventional metal or polymer ferrule systems. PEEKsil may be used as a direct replacement for PEEK tubing used in liquid chromatography systems. The new 0.36 mm OD material allows it to be used directly in place or 0.36 mm OD fused silica tubing.
SIS SGE - Deactivated Fused Silica Capillary Tubing
Used as retention gaps and/or guard columns, deactivated tubing can retain non-volatile “dirty” components from samples which cancontaminate and therefore reduce the performance of your analytical column. SIS - Copper Tubing
Flexible 1/8" copper is a convenient, non-permeable means of supplying GC carrier gas, Helium for sparging HPLC reservoirs, detector gas supplies, etc. Bulk copper tubing should be solvent-cleaned before use to assure that it is free of contamination. Rinse the tubing with a polar and non-polar non-chlorinated solvent, then connect it to a clean gas supply and heat the tubing to remove residual solvent. *p/n CTB065C is Pre-cleaned copper tubbing.
SIS - Poly Ether Ether Ketone (PEEK) Tubing
Its strength and inertness make PEEK (poly ether ether ketone) the obvious substitute for stainless steel when biocompatibility is an issue. SIS offers two types of PEEK tubing: Solid color coded tubing. Natural tan tubing with a color coded stripe. The striped material is recommended for maximum chemical resistance and biocompatibility, as the dye used for the stripe never comes in contact with the fluid stream. PEEK is very chemically resistant and can withstand halide salts and buffers of high ionic strength which can degrade stainless steel. PEEK does not contribute metal ions or provide protein binding sites the way stainless steel can. Certain organic solvents including methylene chloride, DMSO and THF will cause PEEK to swell and will result in lower burst pressure. Concentrated nitric and sulfuric acids will attack the polymer, although 30% nitric acid may be used for passivating.
