Research Approaches
The results of our own research are an important part of our consulting approach. The spectrum ranges from basic research through action and accompanying research, comparative policy research, case studies, research, market research, to legal opinions and comparative law. adelphi is characterized by this mix of basic and applied research orientation, as well as by research in interdisciplinary contexts. Our projects are supported by the Research Framework Programme of the European Commission, by the programmes of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), and by departmental research.
Capacity Development
We define capacity development as the strengthening of capacities for action of individuals, organizations and societies to use resources efficiently and to achieve goals sustainably and effectively. adelphi promotes this in their projects by strengthening political and institutional frameworks, providing training, change management and organizational development, as well as through the transfer of technical and organizational knowledge.
Management Consulting
Managing change is increasingly a core task for companies and organizations. Successful consulting is characterized by sustainable changes in systems, processes and employees. adelphi has been advising companies and organizations for more than 10 years in holistic change processes at the level of people, processes, systems and structures, and helps ensure the success of companies and organizations in developing and emerging economies.
Monitoring and Evaluation
We evaluate development cooperation programmes and projects according to international standards and targets of German implementing organizations (DAC standards, DeGEval, Capacity Works, etc.). In addition to traditional appraisals and assessments of project proposals for the European Commission, we also evaluate complex programmes and policies (e.g. sustainability strategies, trade programmes, or entire regional programmes) for donor agencies, ministries and international organizations.
