ADIVALOR's main target is to manage the development of crop protection packaging waste collection and disposal programs in a sustainable and controlled way. It has set up a research and development programme aimed at improving the operations of the scheme.

To minimise the costs of and the risks in collecting waste, ADIVALOR promotes basic waste prevention, such as: Encouraging manufacturers to write up clear product description and packaging characterisation. Giving better advice and information to users and distributor to improve stock management. Convincing farmers to change by suggesting simple behaviours; for instance, rinsing containers properly before collection.
