Air Pressure

Barograph

A barograph or micro-barograph are recording measuring instruments for the determination of the static absolute air pressure. Being used for meteorological purposes, they are recording values which are corresponding to the aerostatic air pressure at sea level. For this, it is necessary to adjust a barograph after installation acc. to a given air pressure value (reference).

Barometer

A barometer is a measuring instrument for the determination of the static absolute air pressure. Being used for meteorological purposes, the station barometer indicates the aerostatic air pressure at local altitude. In order to compare the measuring value with other air pressure values several corrections, such as altitude correction, are necessary. Only after the corrected calculations of the read value the air pressure value can be compared with other values.

The sensors are primarily intended for use in distributed fine dust measurement outdoors. For example, the fine dust distribution in a district can be recorded using several hygro-thermo-baro sensors. Thanks to its universal interface, the sensor can also be used as an individual solution in any suitable application. The interface to the device is digital and consists of an RS485 interface in half duplex mode. In conjunction with ID-based communication the interface enables operation of the sensors in a bus system.
