AAT - Acid Gas Air Scrubbers

Advanced Air Technologies, Inc. provides acid gas scrubbers to a wide variety of industries. We offer a complete air scrubber system package, including instrumentation and controls, caustic storage tank and metering pump, and skid-mounting of equipment for ease of installation.

AAT - Air Scrubber NOx

A large Midwestern university research facility uses various Nitric Acid formulations for etching Niobium metal.  The etching process produces an extremely smooth micro-surface for maximizing the metal’s superconducting character.  The by-product of the etching process is various Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), primarily Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2).  These compounds gas out of the etching solution and become entrained and exhausted with air used to ventilate the surface of the etching tank.  Of the entire family, NO2 has the worst environmental impact, causing acid rain and having an unsightly orange-brown color.  U.S. EPA regulates total NOx emissions to < 20 tons/year in non-attainment zones and indirectly regulates NO2 by limiting stack opacity to <20%.

AAT - Ammonia Air Scrubbers

Ammonia air scrubbers incorporate a variety of gas-liquid contacting techniques, including packed beds, spray chambers and water jets. In every application, AAT considers all factors in selecting the optimum design. We offer complete packages, including instrumentation and controls, skid-mounting of equipment, acid storage tanks and metering pumps, and installation.

AAT - Fume Scrubbers

Fume air scrubbers are light duty wet scrubbers used for air pollution control. The term “fume scrubber” was made popular by the metal finishing industry, since the pollutants emanating from the open-top dip tanks were generally referred to as “fumes.” Fumes may consist of solid or liquid aerosols and/or vapors. Most of the dip tanks used in various metal finishing processes – such as anodizing, brightening, cleaning and plating – produce airborne vapors and liquid aerosols (mists).

AAT - Model Orion Series - Emergency Air Scrubbers

AAT specializes in the design of emission controls that meet these requirements. Often we can combine the necessary emergency requirements with modifications to the process scrubber, thereby saving the purchase of additional equipment. Our emergency scrubbers can respond to the fume release automatically, removing large quantities of toxic or hazardous vapors and exhaust fumes during an accidental spill, tank rupture, or other emergency. After thorough analysis, we offer several fume scrubbers or exhaust scrubber solutions based on your inventory, local regulations, plant locations and various other factors. Our experience in designing emergency scrubbers for many different chemicals will provide you with the assurance that an accident is safely handled with minimal impact on the environment.

AAT - Exhaust Air Scrubbers

Exhaust scrubbers are air pollution control devices used in a wide variety of industrial applications. Reactor, sterilizer, and storage tank venting are common examples of processes requiring exhaust scrubbers. We offer complete exhaust scrubber packages, including instrumentation and controls, skid-mounting of equipment, installation and start-up. AAT, Inc. designs with many different scrubber types, including packed columns, tray columns, spray towers, and ejector-venturis.

AAT - Ethylene Oxide Air Scrubbers

Advanced Air Technologies, Inc. offers solutions for both hospital abatement of ethylene oxide (ETO or EO) used in sterilization, and industrial or commercial applications involving ETO, EO, or propylene oxide (PO). Please select the link below that fits your requirements. Hospital scrubbers: Introducing the Safe-Cell Series™ with proven performance, guaranteed. Industrial and commercial scrubbers: Introducing the Orion Series™ Epoxide Scrubbers combined with Safe-Cell Series™ DR-490 for guaranteed emissions performance.

AAT - Hydrochloric Acid HCl Air Scrubbers

In every application, AAT, Inc. considers all factors in selecting the optimum design for your hydrochloric acid scrubber. We offer complete packages, including instrumentation and controls, skid-mounting of equipment, caustic storage tank and metering pump, and installation. Hydrogen chloride scrubbers incorporate a variety of gas-liquid contacting techniques, including packed beds, spray chambers and water jets. Depending on concentration, special mist elimination techniques are required to prevent acid “fog” from exiting the air scrubber.

AAT - Nitrogen Oxide NOx Air Scrubbers

AAT, Inc. will determine the optimum number of air scrubber stages and chemistries for a given NOx stream and treatment goal. Techniques for minimizing water and chemical usages are also incorporated into our air scrubber designs. We offer a complete package, including instrumentation and controls, chemical storage tanks and metering pumps, wastewater pretreatment system, and skid-mounting of air pollution control equipment for ease of installation.

AAT - Packed Tower Air Scrubbers

Packed tower air scrubber assemblies are used to remove vapor contaminants from an exhaust gas stream by way of absorption. Developed in the early 1900s, this continues to be the most efficient method of carrying out mass transfer between gas and liquid phases. Packed tower scrubbers incorporate packing media to facilitate intimate contact between a scrubbing liquid and gas to be scrubbed. Applications range from product recovery to air pollution and odor control. In countercurrent scrubber operation, the gas flows upward through the bed, while the liquid irrigates downward by gravity through the bed. The liquid wets the myriad surfaces of the packing material, providing a large amount of surface area for diffusion of one or more components of the gas stream into the liquid stream, thereby purifying the gas.
