Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc. (ADS) products
StormTech - Chamber
The StormTech SC-160LP Chamber was developed for infiltration and detention in shallow cover applications. Only 14` (350mm) required from top of chamber to bottom of pavement and only 12` (300mm) tall. Installs toe to toe – no additional spacing between rows.
FLeXstorm - Catch Basin Insert
The FLEXSTORM CATCH-IT system is the preferred catch basin insert for temporary inlet protection, jobsite erosion control, and stormwater filtration. FLEXSTORM CATCH-IT catch basin inserts fit any drainage structure: Curb Inlets, Round Inlets, Drop Inlets and Open throat Inlets are all easily protected with our patented design system. FLEXSTORM Inlet Filter bags come with Woven fabric (FX) or Nonwoven fabric (IDOT) which effectively control eroded material from leaving the jobsite. Whether you are the specifier or the user it is clear to see how FLEXSTORM CATCH-IT Inlet Filters outperform the competition.
FLEXSTORM PURE - Filters System
The FLEXSTORM PURE system is the preferred Catch Basin Insert for permanent inlet protection and storm water runoff control. Constructed of versatile stainless steel, FLEXSTORM PURE Catch Basin Inserts will fit any drainage structure and are available with site-specific filter bags providing various levels of filtration. Whether you’re the specifier or the user, it’s clear to see how FLEXSTORM PURE Catch Basin inserts outperform the competition.
FLeXstorm - Standard Woven Bag
Flexstorm standard woven bag for temporary or permanent applications where high flow rates and lower maintenance is desired. The standard FX woven polypropylene bag has the highest flow rate in the industry at 200 gpm/sqft material. This durable geotextile resists clogging and cleans up easily. It is well suited for construction sites and heavy flow drainage areas. It is also suitable for post construction areas capturing larger particles and requiring less frequent maintenance. The FX woven bag will not remove any oil or grease other than by incidental capture. However, provisions for moderate hydrocarbon removal may be added by selecting the FX+ or FXO bags with replaceable oil removal media.
FLeXstorm - Standard Hydrocarbon Removal Woven Bag
FX bag with MyCelx skimmer for low to moderate hydrocarbon removal. The additional MyCelx skimmer pouch will continuously remove oils off the surface of accumulating water in the filter bag, permanently bonding and changing their molecular structure. Each pouch will capture up to 89 oz of oil before reaching saturation.
FLeXstorm - Standard Woven Bag
FX bag with additional oil boom for low to moderate hydrocarbon removal. The 3” dia oil absorbent boom (replacements available through any leak and spill company) is strewn through a mesh netting around the top perimeter of the bag. The only drawback with this style is that the boom will require some dwell time to effectively and permanently capture the oil laden runoff.
FLeXstorm - Filter Bags
The FLEXSTORM PC ‘Post Construction’ line of filter bags is designed to specifically target small particle and hydrocarbon removal from parking lots, industrial buildings, and other drainage hot spots like gas stations, car washes, and wash bays. The PC filter bags consist of the FX bag lined with a layer of Adsorb-it Filter Fabric, which removes oil/grease/fuel and PAH polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. The layered fabric allows for high flow rates despite its very small opening sizes - as small as 140 Sieve. The PC bags will require more frequent inspections, however, they will instantly filter 97% of oil laden runoff at 90 gpm flow rates when properly maintained.
FLeXstorm - Filter Bags
PC bag with Cleartec Rubberizer pouch. The additional Cleartec Rubberizer will continuously remove oils off the surface of accumulating water in the filter bag. It will also reduce oils settling on the Adsorb-it liner, once in contact with hydrocarbons the cleartec rubberizer absorbs.
Water Quality
Water Quality Units
Under Phase II of the EPA`s Clean Water Act, the quality of surface water collected and then discharged into surface waterways must now meet higher standards than in recent years past. Two pollutants of major concern are sediments and oils that are washed off the surface during a rainstorm event. The ADS HDPE Water Quality Unit is designed with two weir plates to trap oils and total suspended solids as the storm water flows through surface drainage structures and into the water quality unit. This structure also incorporates the use of a bypass system, which prevents re–suspension of captured solids by diverting water flows greater than `first flush`.
Onsite Leaching Systems
Gravel-Less Leach Bed Pipe System
In many areas, the SB2 gravel-less leach bed pipe system can be a cost effective alternative to conventional leach beds. The product consists of 200 mm – 250 mm single wall corrugated polyethylene pipe with special located perforations wrapped with ADS Drain Guard and non-woven geotextile. The outside diameters of the pipe provide an equivalent of 2 to 3 square feet of soil absorption area per lineal foot. The location of the drain holes (60 degrees off the bottom center line) provides added sludge storage capacity, which increases retention time. The Drain Guard protective wrap is sonically welded to the corrugated pipe and allows free passage of effluent to the soil while limited soil particle infiltration.
