AEM Group conducts environmental site assessments (Phase I ESAs) and subsurface investigations (Phase II ESAs) and can assist in the design, implementation, and management of remediation programs. Our professionals perform surveys for lead-based paints, PCBs, mercury, and asbestos as well as provide environmental oversight for demolition and decommissioning projects.

AEM Group conducts multimedia (air, water, waste) environmental compliance audits; prepare air quality permit applications (NSR/PSD/Title V) and negotiate permit conditions with agencies; prepare NPDES permit applications for wastewater and stormwater management and prepare SWPPP; prepare annual environmental reports, prepare spill management plans (SPCC/PIPP/RCRA contingency); assist in developing ISO 14001 EMS programs; and provide environmental trainings.

AEM Group provides a wide range of natural resources services for both commercial and federal clients. Our Natural Resources Department offers expertise in wetland delineations, wetland mitigation plans, wildlife surveys (avian, reptile, mammal), management plans (forest, invasive species, pest management, integrated natural resources plans, etc.), impact assessments, vegetation mapping, and natural resources inventorying. Our staff can assist with wetland planting design, wetland permitting application packages, land cover mapping, GIS database construction and mapping, and harmful algal bloom studies.

AEM Group implements innovative, cost effective remedial strategies for soil, groundwater, air, indoor air, and other media. We work closely with our customers to determine the most appropriate remedial program. Our experienced staff complete turnkey projects that include conceptual design, installation, and operations and maintenance (O&M) of remedial systems including: monitored natural attenuation, soil vapor extraction, dual phase extraction, groundwater extraction, non-aqueous phase liquid removal, bioremediation and bioventing, air sparging, in-situ chemical oxidation, soil vapor intrusion, and soil excavation.

Due to the nature of investigations, our professionals coordinate with a number federal, state, and local agencies assuring all the applicable requirements are considered for accomplishing objectives of the investigation.

AEM Group has years of experience conducting wetland delineations in accordance with the USACE Delineation manual, and identifying and delineating Waters of the United States (WOUS). AEM Group has delineated more than 7,000 acres for the Federal Government and delineated more than 120,000 linear feet of WOUS across multiple regions of the US using the appropriate regional supplements and functional assessments.

AEM Group has decades of experience providing environmental permitting and multimedia environmental compliance assessment services to federal and commercial customers nationwide. Our major customers for these services include the United States Air Force (USAF), the United States Department of Agriculture—Forest Service (USDA-FS), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and over 200 commercial customers. Our environmental permitting experience includes air quality permitting (New Source Review (NSR), Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD), Title V Renewable Operating Permit (Title V ROP)), industrial wastewater/storm water permitting, and RCRA permitting for hazardous waste processing facilities.

AEM Group has extensive experience in providing site assessment and remediation services to federal and industrial customers nationwide.
