PTFE hose which was initially used in hydraulic or pneumatic systems or in the aerospace sector is rapidly becoming popular. Hoses and tubes made out of PTFE perform brilliantly, under challenging environmental and industrial conditions, and hence its commercial usage across industries is on the rise. Due to its high commercial usability and its exceptional properties, PTFE products are an important commodity of the industrial, medical and consumer markets, where they are used not only in the traditional way but also in non-traditional and unconventional ones.

Mechanical engineers over the globe are increasingly ditching their metal counterparts in favour of an engineering wonder called Poly Tetra Fluoro Ethylene or PTFE. PTFE products are engineered plastics which offer a long term benefit in a variety of industries, which includes reduced downtime, improved performance and better resistance to nature.  PTFE products can be manufactured not only in the form of rods, but also in the form of tubes, hoses and sheets.

PTFE fabric braided hose consists of a PTFE liner on the inside and an outer protective cover made up of fabric on the outside. This cover provides protection to the inner liner by increasing its pressure withstanding capacity. The fabric braiding greatly helps increase the flexibility of the hose while decreasing the cost of the hose as compared to its steel counterpart and can be used in those places, like automobiles, where it is concerned with the transmission of oil and water.

PTFE conductive hose is a hose, possessing anti-static properties. While deciding in favour or against the anti-static PTFE hose for an application, the answer would lie in the medium passing through the hose. A PTFE hose like any other ordinary hose consists of a PTFE liner of different thickness, with a protective braiding on it. In case of a PTFE conductive hose the inner liner is made up of a special material which prevents a static build up as against the normal hoses, thus being a much safer option, as static buildups can also cause explosions in case of extreme situations.
