Aero-Laser - Drone-Mounted Micro NOx Monitor

The Micro NOx measurement system consists of a monitoring unit for drones and a ground control unit for calibration, maintenance and file processing. The weight of the flight module is less than 2 kg. This is achieved by a specially designed and 3D printed housing made of Polyamide 12 (PA 12) which shows a good stability, chemical resistance and low weight. The measurement method of choice is chemiluminescence which allows the detection of NOx compounds with a high sensitivity down to 1 ppb. An optimized Luminol solution is used to suppress undesirable interferences. The equation of the chemical reaction with Luminol to detect NO2 reads to:

Aero Laser - Continuous Hydrogen Peroxide H2O2 Analyzer for Air and Water Samples

The detection of peroxides is based on the liquid phase reaction of peroxides with p-hydroxyphenylacetic acid catalyzed by peroxidase. This reaction produces a fluorescent dimer that can be excited at 326 nm and detected between 400 and 420 nm. The reaction is sensitive to all peroxides in the solution, but fastest for H2O2. To separate the signal of H2O2 from that of the other peroxides, two parallel channels are used. Behind the stripping coil, the solution is distributed to two channels, each having an own reactor and fluorimeter.

Aero-Laser - Formaldehyde (HCHO) Analyzer

The AL4021 is a completely automated and continuously working formaldehyde (HCHO) analyzer for gaseous and liquid samples based on the Hantzsch reaction, which is sensitive to very low concentrations of HCHO (ppbV for gaseous samples and µg/L for liquid samples). All functions of the AL4021 are controlled via a 7" touch screen on the front panel. The AL4021 is easy to use, reliable and has a low need for maintenance. It has an built-in HCHO source for automatic calibration (optional). The AL4021 provides exact and reliable results in free programmable concentration ranges. The AL4021 can store data continuosly on an USB stick.

Aero-Laser - Ultra Fast Carbon Monoxide (CO) Analyzer

The AL5005 is an ultra fast carbon monoxide (CO) monitor with an unique sensitivity below 1ppb (parts per billion). The AL5005 is specially designed for the application in air-planes, where a high time reolution results in a high spatial resolution. The detection of CO is based on a VUV-fluorimetry, employing the excitation of CO at 150 nm. This method combines a high sensitivity with high selectivity and is linear from 1 ppb to 100 ppm. The AL5005 is widely used in remote research stations like in Antarctica, on research ships and air-crafts, where very low detection limits, high sensitivity, fast response, high temperature stability, low zero drift and a huge linearity range is required. The excitation light is generated by a cw-CO2 resonance lamp, which needs only a low maintenance. A monochromator unit, using dielectric mirrors, filters out the VUV from the lamp`s spectrum.

Aero-Laser - Valve Cluster for Multi-Chamber Measurements

The Aero-Laser instruments AL4021 and AL2021 can be connected by a valve cluster to several gas sources, like test chambers, gas sample flasks or the Micro-Chamber µCTE. There are three versions available with 8, 12 or 16 input ports. This allows automated measurements according to industrial standards, e.g. for formaldehyde: EN 717-1 or ASTM 6007. Each chamber is connected to the rear panel of the valve cluster by a PFA line. If measurements at elevated temperatures are planned, heated hose coupling should be used to prevent condensation of moisture inside the lines.

Aero-Laser - Micro-Chamber/Thermal Extractor

The μ-CTE is a uniquely fast and cost-effective quality control (QC) tool for screening the levels of volatile and semi-volatile organic chemicals (VOCs and SVOCs) including formaldehyde coming out of products and raw materials. Typical sample types include wood-based products, plastic goods, insulation materials, electronics, foods, tobacco, decorative products, flooring materials, textiles and cleaning products. Operating anywhere between ambient temperature and a maximum of 250ºC, µ-CTE units comprise either four or six sample chambers which are simultaneously swept with a controlled and constant flow of air or inert gas.
