Specially configured graphite coated ( or PTFE coated) round edged beveled metal ribs when compressed create separate sealing chambers that breakdown system pressure across the gasket face. The sealing element covering the rib tip also becomes more densified creating an alternating sequence of sealing chambers with “safety or back up” seals of densified sealing material at the point of contact between the rib and flange face.

The double split rotary seal developed by AIGI has engineered splits at 2 locations, 55’and 5’as viewed on a clock face. These precision joints provide double security by maintaining the seal’s elastic compensation ability as well as preventing leakage by the Id and OD faces.

AIGl 20 Packing is braided from ceramic fiber and corrosion resistant thin metal wire. It could withstand high temperature and has excellent thermal insulation properties. The high temperature resistance strength, self-lubricating properties of high carbon fiber combinec flexibility, chemical resistance and stuffing box conformability of PTFE fibers makes AIGI SSSP the optimal choice for sk cations in industries such as mining, pulp and paper, metals processing and power.

AIGI 26 is braided from PTFE yarn and then coated with a graphite dispirsion to disipate heat, AiGl 26 is a dense braid which ensures excellent leakage control, less lubricant migration, less frictional heat build up and excellent heat disipation for longer life. As a low-friction packing, AIGI 26 is used widely in general service pump applications as well as the toughest chemical applications.
