Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers – Air Clear Regenerative Thermal Oxidizers (RTO) Manufacturer of Custom Designed Systems. Thermal Regenerative Oxidizers are the most energy efficient and cost effective solutions for the reduction of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and odorous air emission.  The primary function of the Thermal Regenerative Oxidizer is to destroy the VOC contaminants in the exhaust coming out of a process. The operation of the Thermal Regenerative Oxidizer is based on the principle of combustion. The process of combustion is the most commonly used method to control emissions of organic compounds.

Catalytic Oxidizers (CATOX™) use a catalyst to promote the oxidation reaction to occur.  Catalytic oxidation requires less than half the heat (500-600°F) needed for thermal oxidation (1,400-1,600°F) and creates an opportunity to substantially reduce fuel expenses and material costs. The addition of a Recuperative (heat exchanger) further reduces the need for supplemental fuel. In many cases, the system requires no supplemental fuel in an operating condition known as “autocatalytic”.

Air Clear Pre-filter Systems are utilized when tars, stone dust, talc, oils, solid particulate, etc are present in the process exhaust stream. The Pre-filter protects the main filters in the Air Clear Coalescing Fiberbed Filter Mist Collector Systems. Air Clear Pre-filter Systems have also been used on dirty applications that require an Oxidizer System, such as, RTO, Catalytic, and Thermal Systems. Air Clear has several Pre-filter systems operating on our oxidizer systems and other air pollution control manufacturer’s oxidizers. When particulate loading is very high Air Clear offers three effective Pre-Filtering options: Indexing Pre-filter, Stationary Pre-filter & Pocket Pre-filter.

Air Clear provides high efficiency replacement Fiberbed Filters at reasonable prices. Air Clear’s long life filters can provide several years of service before replacement filters are required. Air Clear Coalescing Fiberbed Filters are subjected to rigorous testing to ensure design level field performance. This testing is the most stringent in the industry. Test conditions are more demanding than most field conditions.

Air Clear manufactures Portable Thermal Oxidizers used to remove toxic gas prior to tank cleaning; maintenance or repair of existing equipment; or as a temporary air treatment solution for a new process or pilot studies. Thermal oxidizers are used to capture and destroy harmful gas vapor from tanks that carry Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC’s). When the chemicals, solvents or petrochemicals carried in the tanks are removed, gas vapor remains in the tanks. Air Clears’ portable thermal oxidizers remove and destroy the VOC’s present in the vapor, preventing the release of harmful vapors into the atmosphere.
