How we started…
Founded on Valentine’s Day 1978 by Dennis and Deborah Koch, Air-Craft Environmental has always been all about top performance and reputation. For our first 13 years, we did not even have a telephone listing. All our business was referral-only. We eventually took a white pages listing because a few local customers expressed mild annoyance with remarks like, “Did you know we had to get your name and phone number from someone in Los Angeles?!”

Who we are…
It’s in our DNA. Founder and President Dennis Koch brings 50 years experience to the table and has been a member of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society for 40 years. He also has over 40 years in cascade systems and environmental test chamber applications. His father Jake Koch was renowned in the Transport Refrigeration and Commercial HVAC&R businesses in Rochester and many parts of the US. Even his grandfathers were ice men!

We are the Factory Authorized Service Center for nearly all test chamber manufacturers. For example, we have provided Tenney factory service continuously for over 35 years. We created the environmental test chamber rental market in the US and opened a new category in the Thomas Register of American Manufacturers: Environmental Chambers, Rental. Air-Craft presently owns more than 400 environmental testing chambers of various makes, types and sizes. Customers frequently purchase time in our larger, complex, and high-performance chambers for daily and weekly testing needs in our laboratory. We strive to limit our service territory to the Upstate New York and Northern Pennsylvania region. We are pleased to provide referrals for other areas. We network with the most expert environmental chamber colleagues around the country.
