Blast Rooms
Modular Blast Rooms
At Airblast AFC, we design and manufacture cost-effective modular blast rooms from 14-gauge galvanized sheet metal panels with a rubber lining to protect the surface, as well as to provide sound attenuation and easy media recovery.
Dust Collection
Cartridge Dust Collector
Cartridge filters contain cylindrical felted fabric filter elements with internal, wire support frames. Our cartridge filters can help you to achieve efficiencies of up to 99.99%. Filter elements are cleaned by pulsing compressed air through jet tubes mounted on the clean side. These jet tubes are mounted above zinc coated nozzles that increase the air volume injected into the filter element. The momentary reversal of air flow caused by the ‘Air Pulse’ expands the filter element. This expansion is enough to dislodge contaminant on the outer surface. Our cartridges provide excellent dust removal performance, durability, and affordability.
Integrated Dust Collector
Cartridge Filter Module for All-In-One Containerized Blast Room. Airblast AFC is known for its market-leading dust collection technology, which offers excellent visibility when blasting. For our All-In-One Containerized Blast Room, we set about replicating the performance of our external cartridge dust collector system in a portable format. The result is a compact, high-performance cartridge filter module that comes pre-installed and provides excellent performance without compromise.
Media Recovery
Vaculift Recovery System
The Vaculift recovery system is ideal for in-house blasting operations. This system boasts a fast recovery rate and is ideal when a full-floor recovery system would exceed requirements. Vaculift: An air wash system is used to separate dust and debris from the recovered abrasive. This allows valuable resources, that would otherwise be thrown away, to be cleaned and returned to the blast machine or to an optional storage hopper located above the machine. The lighter dust is transported to a dust collector and heavier contaminants are caught in a screen. A two-way air valve enables the operator to switch from blasting mode to recovery mode in seconds, helping to maintain productivity in the blast room.
