Worker Exposure Monitoring Services

Airzone offers chemical exposure monitoring and analysis services. In Ontario, the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and its Regulations are enforced by the Ministry of Labour. These laws are designed to help protect a worker in the workplace on a day-to-day basis over their career. Almost all facilities and workplaces across the province manufacture or produce products that may expose a worker to a chemical or physical agent. Airzone can assist its clients with their responsibility to ensure a worker’s health and safety is maintained while performing their duties.

Designated Substance Assessments

Facilities that use designated substances in their process must undertake an assessment to ensure workers are not adversely exposed. This requires a review of a facility’s MSDS library to identify if a designated substance is used. A site visit is usually required to gather information about the process and potential routes of exposure. In some cases air monitoring to determine a worker’s exposure → is necessary. A final report is produced detailing the process, results from air monitoring, and if there is need for a control program.
