The B Bond Clamp is intended for making electrical bonds to the metal shield of plastic sheath cables at terminals and at splices. Ft may be used both with dual and single sheath designs in exposed and unexposed plant. The maximum current-carrying capacity of the clamp is equivalent to a No. 6 copper wire or to that of the shield for small diameter cables. Terminations to the stud of the clamp are made with ground straps, bonding ribbon or other approved conductors. The clamp is available in three sizes for cable diameters as listed below and can be ordered with one or two star washer nuts.

The D Bond Clamp is intended for making electrical bonds to the metal shield of plastic sheath cables at sheath openings. It may be used both with dual and single sheath designs in exposed and unexposed plant. The maximum current-carrying capacity of the clamp is equivalent to a No. 6 copper wire. Terminations to the stud of the clamp are made with a bonding strap or other approved conductors. The clamp is universal, suitable for use on all size cables and can be ordered with one or two star washer nuts. However, for cables less than 0.8 in OD., the sheath must be slit opposite the point at which the clamp is to be installed.

Bonding and grounding is achieved in one product. The D Bond Assembly consists of a No. 6 AWG 7 strand ground wire and a UL approved terminal lug. Each clamp consists of two formed brass plates which are tin plated`. The inner plate is equipped with a stud onto which the outer plate and one flat washer, lock washer, and nut are assembled. The inner plate also has a ferrule to which the ground wire is attached.
