Cameras
Allegheny GeoVISION - Dual Scan Camera
The GeoVISION Dual-Scan camera is Allegheny Instruments most advanced camera. It has three independently controlled banks of high intensity LED lights and the ability to rotate 360°. The Dual-Scan’s state of the art video modules provide unparalleled video images in bores as small as 1-1/2″ (4 cm) in diameter and to depths of 2,000 feet (600 meters).
Allegheny GeoVISION - Nano Camera
The GeoVISION Nano camera is the smallest diameter production borehole video inspection camera made today. The Nano camera is a mere 3/4 inch (2 cm) in diameter and is designed for use in boreholes as small as one inch (2.5 cm) in diameter and at depths up to 2000 feet (600 meters).
Allegheny GeoVISION - Standard Stainless Steel Camera
The Standard Stainless Steel camera is the workhorse of the GeoVISION line of cameras. Standard Stainless Steel cameras come in both color and black & white. These cameras are extremely rugged and designed for use in two-inch (5 cm) and larger diameter bores, up to 2,000 feet (600 meters) deep. They can be used alone, or mounted on a Pan-Tilt Control for easy joystick manipulation.
Allegheny GeoVISION - Standard Plastic Camera
The GeoVISION Standard Plastic Color and Black & White cameras are a great economical choice. Standard Plastic cameras are designed for use in two-inch (5 cm) and larger diameter bores, up to 1,000 feet (300 meters) deep. These cameras are more sensitive to heat than Standard Stainless Steel cameras, and cannot be stored or operated in environments hotter than 110° F (43° C). They can be used alone, or mounted on a Pan-Tilt Control for easy joystick manipulation.
Allegheny GeoVISION - Pan-Tilt Control Camera
The GeoVISION Pan-Tilt Control is designed to rotate and tilt Standard Stainless Steel and Standard Plastic cameras. Using a Pan-Tilt Control, these cameras can be rotated 360-degrees and can tilt from looking straight down, to looking back up the bore. Camera manipulation is controlled using the joystick on a Deluxe winch.
Winches
Allegheny - Motor Driven Winch
The Deluxe winch is motor driven and holds up to 2,000 feet (600 meters) of cable. It is compatible with all of the GeoVISION cameras and is completely portable. The three legs of the Deluxe winch position it so that it can be easily operated from a chair positioned behind the winch.
Allegheny - Heavy Duty Winch
The Heavy-Duty winch was designed for portability and use in the most rugged environments. The Heavy-Duty winch holds from 325 feet (100 meters) to 1,000 feet (300 meters) of cable. The winch has a steel frame and ball bearings for years of maintenance free use. It is compatible with the Standard Stainless Steel, Standard Plastic and Nano camera.
Allegheny - Light Duty Winch
The Light-Duty winch was designed for portability above all else. It comes equipped to run from either 110 VAC or 12 VDC. The Light-Duty winch holds 325 feet (100 meters) of cable and is compatible with the Standard Stainless Steel, Standard Plastic and Nano cameras.
Allegheny GeoVISION - Winch Cable
GeoVISION winch cable is designed specifically for our borehole video systems. The outer steel conductors are the strength members, while the center copper conductor carries the video signal from the camera to the control panel. Our cable has a breaking strength of nearly 150 pounds (68 kg).
Accessories
DVD Digital Video Recorder
The SONY VRD-MC6 multi-function DVD recorder provides an excellent way to record a video log. DVD recorders have minimal video compression and can be played back on a standard DVD player. Because Allegheny Instruments does not copy protect the video, many video editing programs can be used to import the video from the DVD for editing on a computer. The SONY VRD-MC6 has a small LCD screen that allows you to view what is being recorded and can be powered from either 120 VAC or 240 VAC. There are a number of ways to capture video from a GeoVISION system; however, we really like this recorder for its size, high quality recordings and ease of use.
