The VKL/DKL claw range of Baratti Engineering generates contactfree vacuum or compressed air efficiently and economically. This is possible because of the principle of positive displacement. The gas becomes precompressed within the compressing chamber and is then discharged. This leads to a higher compression ratio compared to rotary lobe blower designs without internal compression at high vacuum and high overpressure.

The Stratos construction principle is simple and proven: Two parallel screw rotors rotate against each other in the pump housing. The gas to be conveyed is enclosed in the interior of the pump and compressed by the rotational movement of the screws in the direction of the outlet. While the pitch of the screws over the compression area is linear in conventional designs, a different screw technology was chosen for the SRB series. The pitch of the screw has been optimized for the compaction process and is progressive. This results in a number of advantages, for example a considerable potential for energy savings and low compression temperatures. Of course, the screw vacuum pump has not lost its basic properties. It continues to compress in one stage without intermediate cooling.
