Carbon monoxide (CO) is a particularly dangerous toxic gas, not only because it has no colour, no taste and no odour but because it is common in populated areas as a result of the burning of fossil fuels in vehicles and heating systems. Despite advances in detection, CO, or ‘the silent killer’ as it is often referred to, is still responsible for tens of thousands of deaths each year. CO Sensors are available in a wide range of formats, making them suitable for use in fixed and portable detection instruments.

Exposure to the toxic gas Chlorine (Cl2) can lead to irritation of the nose, dryness in their throat and a cough in the short term. Exposure to higher volumes can cause far more series issues, from significant irritation, to bronchitis and death in some cases. With strong disinfectant properties and usage in a variety of manufacturing industries, Cl2 usage is increasing and continues to present a significant risk to life. Cl2 Sensors are available in a wide range of formats, making them suitable for use in fixed and portable detection instruments as well as other instruments and systems where monitoring of Cl2 is required.

Our Phosphine sensors cover all hydrides: Silane (SiH4), Diborane (B2H6), Germane (GeH4) and Phosphine (PH3) for the semiconductor industry. We have also introduced the PH3-BE sensor specifically for food storage where higher concentrations of Phosphine are encountered.

Alphasense CO2 and Methane infrared sensors are supplied in the industry standard miniature (20mm diameter) gas sensor housing. Patented optics give the best signal to noise ratio of any 20mm diameter NDIR and universal linearisation constants allow easy implementation. The on-board temperature sensor allows for software compensation, including ideal gas law correction.

All dimensions in millimetres (± 0.15mm): PM 1, PM 2.5 and PM 10 (PM4.25 as an option). Measures up to 40 µm for pollen detection. Reduced power standby mode. Capability to measure up to 2,000 µg/m3. Onboard temperature and humidity sensor. SPI interface not included, order code 000-0SPI-00.
