ALS - Model CellCelector - Versatile Automated Single Cell and Colony Picking System

The ALS CellCelector™ platform is a unique and fully automated cell imaging and picking system developed for detection, selection and isolation of single cells, clusters, spheroids and organoids as well as single cell clones and adherent colonies. It is widely used in a multitude of research areas (e.g. circulating tumor cell/CTC screening, stem cell research as well as cell line development and antibody discovery).

ALS - Single Cell Picking Module for Precise Single Cell and Colony Picking

The Single Cell Picking Module utilizes liquid buffered single-use glass capillaries providing gentle aspiration with extremely high precision down to the nanoliter range. This module can be used for precise isolation of individual single cells, clusters, single cell clones, spheroids, small organoids, embryoid bodies etc. Contrary to manual or semi-automatic picking setups in traditional micro manipulators the vertical capillary orientation and precision of the ALS CellCelector™ allows for easy picking from various culture lab ware including 96 well plates, multi-well slides and nanowell arrays as well as deposition into small destination wells like 1,536 or 384 well plates, deep well plates and PCR tubes or plates.

ALS - Adherent Colony Picking Module (Scrape Module)

Our unique Scrape Module has been developed for efficient recovery of adherent colonies. It uses high-precision autoclavable stainless steel ScrapeTip™ capillaries. These scrape capillaries are available in diameters of 300 µm, 500 μm, 800 μm and 1000 μm and are placed on the CellCelector™ in racks of 96 tips each. Automated exchange of the ScrapeTip™ between picks avoids any risk of cross contamination.

ALS - Model FlowBox - Cell Culture Hood and CO2 Incubator

Working with live cells often requires not only sterile work conditions but also maintaining cells in a regulated physiological environment. The ALS Incubator Flowbox™ is a unique combination of a laminar flow cell culture hood with precise control of temperature, humidity and CO2 levels. This allows keeping cells in stable environmental conditions whilst out of the incubator and provides optimal results and reproducibility. While originally designed for the CellCelector, the ALS Incubator FlowBox™ can be used and adapted for other instruments and workflows which require both sterility and controlled environmental conditions.
