Obtained by chlorination of very pure linear aliphatic hydrocarbons and marketed under the name ESSECHLOR, Altair Chimica chlorinated-paraffin differ in the percentage of chlorine, from 30 to 70%, and in the length of the paraffinic chain, medium C14-17, long C18-20 and extra-long C20-30.

Ferrous chloride is produced by reaction of the synthesis hydrochloric acid and ferrous oxide, while ferric chloride is produced by the chlorination of ferrous chloride. Both products are available in the technical or drinking water treatment grade.

Produced directly from gaseous chlorine and hydrogen, absorbed with the highest quality demineralized water, Altair hydrochloric acid is available in concentrations from 32 to 37%. Boasting a food, pharmaceutical and technical grade hydrochloric acid, Altair offers a wide range of hydrochloric acid applications including the preparation of organic salts of amino acids, the formulation of dyes, in tanneries and in galvanic processes.

Obtained from the reaction of alumina with concentrated hydrochloric acid, it is available in various Al2O3 titrations from 10 to 18%. It is widely used as a flocculants for water purification, for the treatment of industrial and urban wastewater and contributes to reduce the phosphates contained in detergents. It is also used in the paper industry. For the treatment of water in particularly difficult conditions due to turbidity, pH and temperature, the version with very high basicity is also available, from 62 to 72%.

Obtained by carbonation of caustic potash, with a process that allows to obtain a very high degree of purity and greater density, Altair Chimica potassium carbonate is used for many applications. It is available in different physical forms such as solution, powder, micronized powder and granular. The Altair plant, the only one in Italy, has two production lines of different capacities, which allow it to satisfy the entire Italian market and an important share of the foreign market.

Obtained through the electrolytic process, it is available in 30% and 50% solution. Available in the technical grade, it is widely used in the paper industrial sector, in the production of dyes, in the treatment of cotton fibers, in the chemical industry for the production of phosphates, sulfides and bleach. Finally, it is also used in the detergent sector, for the production of anionic soaps and surfactants.

Obtained as an 18% solution, it is produced by the plant that guarantees the safety of the entire production plant, absorbing the gaseous chlorine from any electrolysis vents or other production processes. The fields of application of sodium hypochlorite range from the textile to the paper industry, in addition to the purification of water and the treatment of waste liquid.
