Halcyon Air is the new name in air handling systems. This ground breaking new product has been engineered and manufactured to meet global guidelines for maintaining a healthy rodent micro-environment within individually ventilated cages (IVC).

Alternative Design Manufacturing & Supply offers a variety of air delivery systems to meet our customer’s needs. This single fan top mounted supply air handling unit draws supply air from the room before that air is HEPA filtered prior to entering the rodent cages. HEPA filtered exhaust from the rack and individual cages is then removed from the room via the building exhaust system. This air handling unit supplies HEPA filtered air for up to 160 mouse cages or 60 rat cages.

The Solace Zone Heated IVC 32 Cage P.I. Mobile Unit uses technology to provide heated and HEPA filtered ventilated air to transport and/or temporarily house mice away from the primary animal housing area. This mobile unit creates a thermal neutral zone within each individual cage, helping to alleviate cold stress in your rodents and creating a warm, comforting environment for post-surgery recovery. The cart is constructed of high quality 304 stainless steel. It features a removable top shelf that doubles as a work surface.

The laboratory animal research industry’s first rotary IVC that uses standard size cages! The MACS Rotary holds up to 120 standard sized Ultra-Air mouse cages. With a 58 inch turning diameter, this unit fits into tight spaces within animal rooms, increasing cages per square feet. This rotary unit holds 3 vertical cage stacks per side with auto watering options available. Available in your choice of 3 cage stack heights – 10, 9 or 8 high.

The MACS Mobile Single Sided Frame holds between 56-80 Ultra-Air 502 or 520 cages. The frame includes upper main supply and exhaust plenums. The plenums are made from 22 gauge stainless steel and are removable for cleaning. This mobile frame sits on 4 rugged 5″ casters with zerks, 2 of which have brakes. One round tube handle on each end within frame for hand protection. The frames and the plenum are both autoclavable.

The MACS Wall Mount Main Frame holds between 60-80 Gentle-Air style cages including Dura Cage, Uni Cage and Max 75 cages. The frame assembly has an upper mounting rail with brackets to hold the upper plenums. A lower mounting rail holds the cage stack bottom support. It also has a protective bumper rail. Frame includes upper main supply and exhaust plenums. This assembly includes the shelf bracket for the air handling unit fans. Appropriate hardware for installation is included.

The Flex-Air 4-Cage P.I. Stationary Unit is designed to provide HEPA filtered air to mice that are being temporarily housed in a principal investigator’s lab, in quarantine, post surgery, or other areas outside the main animal housing room. This Flex-Air P.I. Unit uses the patented Flex-Air cages also used with the Flex-Air Positive/Negative Ventilated Caging System.
