Our H3C Headwall is a precast concrete headwall to suit plastic or clay pipes up to 300mm and concrete pipes up to 225mm. Stainless steel sockets can be cast into the headwall for the attachment of gratings and other factory fitted accessories. The H3C headwall weighs 530kg. We cast the opening in the back wall of our precast concrete headwalls to suit the pipe diameter and material of the pipe being used. We can cast multiple pipe openings, elliptical, square or rectangular culvert openings into any of our headwalls. We can also cast pipe openings into the wing walls of our headwalls.

H6C A Headwalls are precast concrete headwalls to suit plastic or clay pipes up to 600mm and concrete pipes up to 450mm. H6C A Headwalls have a backwall height of 1100mm. Stainless steel sockets can be cast into the headwall for the attachment of gratings and other factory fitted accessories. We cast the opening in the back wall of our precast concrete headwalls to suit the pipe diameter and material of the pipe being used. We can cast multiple pipe openings, elliptical, square or rectangular culvert openings into any of our headwalls. Althon 600mm HDPE flap valves can be used in surface, sewer and water process applications. Our 600mm HDPE flap valves are a simple and highly effective way to prevent water backflow into a system. 600mm HDPE non return flap valves are manufactured in HDPE and stainless steel grade 316L. Althon HDPE flap valves are lightweight and high strength. Our HDPE flap valves are therefore easy to install and require very little maintenance.

Althon 700mm HDPE flap valves can be used in surface, sewer and water process applications. Our 700mm HDPE flap valves are a simple and highly effective way to prevent water backflow into a system. 700mm HDPE non return flap valves are manufactured in HDPE and stainless steel grade 316L. Althon HDPE flap valves are lightweight and high strength. Our HDPE flap valves are therefore easy to install and require very little maintenance.

100mm tidal flap valves are recommended for use below the waterline and in tidal applications for pipework up to 100mm. Our tidal flap valves are typically installed below the normal water level to prevent back flow up a pipe. Althon tidal flap valves are suitable for use with a water pressure of 5 MWC for 72 hours and 1 MWC for 50 years. The flap valve is HDPE with HDPE ribs and can be further reinforced where necessary with stainless steel. We offer a range of standard sizes form 100mm to 2000mm and can quote for bespoke sizes as required. We can also offer rectangular tidal flap valves on request.

150mm HDPE penstock to suit pipework up to 150mm suitable for fixing to a flat surface. Our HDPE penstocks are manufactured from HDPE and grade 316L stainless steel and have a 50 year design life. Althon HDPE penstocks are suitable for sealing pressures of 5MwC as standard. Our penstocks require virtually no maintenance and allow fast, safe and easy installation. Althon HDPE penstocks are generally available from stock. Our HDPE penstocks are suitable for wall mounting and can be factory fitted to our precast concrete headwalls and precast penstock chambers. They can also be fitted to in-situ outfall structures and manhole chambers. Our penstocks are supplied with an EPDM seal, stainless steel fixing kit and chemical anchors.

Althon 200mm inline penstocks are used in Althon Inline Penstocks can be used in surface, sewer and water process applications. Inline penstocks are a simple and highly effective way to prevent water backflow into a system. Our inline penstocks can be flanged mounted or coupled onto existing pipework. Our 200mm inline penstocks can be operated manually with a T – key or handwheel or with an actuator.

Althon High Capacity Drainage Channel can be laid without fall and will drain to the nearest outlet. The drainage channel’s trapezoidal shape means it creates its own velocity and as such is self cleansing. Our 150 High Capacity Channel has the equivalent capacity of a 250mm Pipe.

Sewers for Adoption and Sewers for Scotland Guidelines call for an outfall safety grille to be fitted to any headwall with a pipe opening greater than 350mm. Sewers for Adoption Guidelines specify that an outfall safety grille must be a minimum of 270mm wider than the outside diameter of the pipe, have bars at 100mm spacing, be hinged and have a padlock facility. All our outfall safety grilles, standard gratings and trash screens are hot dip galvanised to BS EN 1461 after fabrication but are all available in stainless steel if required. Althon provide five types of an outfall safety grille. Our outfall safety grille type 1 design is exactly as Figure C.6 of the Sewers for Adoption Guidelines and Figure 10 of Sewers for Scotland. The 300mm Sewers for Adoption Outfall Safety Grille Type 1 is designed for use with concrete pipework up to 300mm and twinwall plastic pipework up to 300mm
