The GC 5000 series of gas chromatographs have been developed for the continuous monitoring of organic compounds. The instruments are characterized by their rugged and compact design and their outstanding detection sensitivity in the low ppb to ppt range. The instruments allow for cabinet/rack mounting in AQMS, containers and mobile vans for monitoring of air pollutants in unattended operation mode.

In unattended operation mode, online GC`s and other instruments for air quality and industrial site monitoring applications require to be checked frequently and to be calibrated as needed.

The HG 300 and HG 500 models of 19″ hydrogen generators offer high performance and reliable operation even under harsh operating conditions. Utilizing field proven PEM cell technology, hydrogen is produced from deionized water on demand only. Thus there is no need to use high pressure gas cylinders in monitoring stations and industrial installations anymore. This saves money and results in a high level of safety.

The ZAG 300 series of HP Zero Air Generators removes continuously organic impurities and carbon monoxide from a compressed air stream. This zero air being free of hydrocarbons can be used to fuel combustion detectors of online GC`s or THC analyzers in field installations or as a zero reference or dilution gas for validation and calibration of monitoring devices.

Thermal desorption has become a well established sample introduction technique for gas chromatography in order to determine volatile or semi-volatile organic compounds in air or gaseous samples and in solids. In case of gaseous samples the organic compounds to be analyzed will be collected on suitable adsorbent materials prior to analysis, whereas solid samples can be analysed directly by means of thermal desorption.

AMA Instruments offers a wide range of portable and automated sampling units performing high precision air and gas sampling. The sampling units are primarily used for indoor air monitoring, occupational health and safety monitoring or observation of legally required limits in industry or environment. While sampling an exactly defined air or gas volume will be drawn through special adsorption tubes, filters or washing bottles for subsequent laboratory analysis.
