The IEEE-IAS/ACA Cement Conference is the cement industry’s premier technical conference, bringing together cement producers, engineers, researchers, equipment and service providers, and industry partners from around the world. For more than six decades, the conference has served as a forum for sharing practical knowledge, advancing cement manufacturing technology, and fostering collaboration across the global cement community.

2013 IEEE-IAS/PCA Cement Industry Technical Conference in Orlando, Florida is well under way. Although we are a long way from the peak levels of demand prior to 2008, all indications are that markets are starting to improve and some local markets are experiencing sold out conditions. When demand fell these past four years, budgets were slashed and sadly, the workforce was reduced. Hundreds of years of experience evaporated in a matter of months. Although these are the difficult challenges faced by our entire industry, these are also the times that present opportunities.
