ASTM A106 grade B Seamless Pressure Pipe (ASME SA106) is used in power plants, boilers, petrochemical plants, oil and gas refineries, and ships where the piping must transport fluids and gases that exhibit high pressures and temperatures. At American Piping Products, we distribute pipe that meets the latest chemistry standards from ASME.

ASTM A106 and ASME SA106 seamless pressure pipe is commonly used in the construction of oil and gas refineries, power plants, petrochemical plants, boilers, and ships where the piping must transport fluids and gases that exhibit higher temperatures and pressure levels.

ASTM A53 and ASME SA53 is intended for mechanical and pressure applications and is also acceptable for ordinary uses in steam, water, gas and air lines. It is suitable for welding and for forming operations involving coiling, bending, and flanging, subject to certain qualifications. A53 covers Seamless and Welded, Black and Hot-Dipped Galvanized nominal (average) wall pipe for coiling, bending, flanging and other special purposes and is suitable for welding. Continuous-Welded pipe is not intended for flanging. Purpose for which pipe is intended should be stated on order.

ASTM A333 covers nominal (average) wall seamless and welded carbon and alloy steel pipe intended for use at low temperatures. Several grades of ferritic steel are included. Some product sizes may not be available under this specification because heavier wall thicknesses have an adverse affect on low-temperature impact properties.

This specification covers nominal wall and minimum wall seamless ferritic alloy-steel pipe intended for high-temperature service. ASTM A335 pipe ordered to this specification shall be suitable for fusion welding, bending, flanging (vanstoning), and similar forming operations.

ASTM A105 and ASME SA105 covers seamless forged carbon steel piping components for use in pressure systems at ambient and high-temperature service. Flanges, fittings, valves and various other parts ordered to customer dimension or to industry standards such as MSS, ASME and API specification are included in the scope. Forgings to this specification are limited to 10,000 lbs.

It is manufactured by hot working and then cold finishing the steel into round, square, rectangle or special shapes. AISI 4130 is a steel formula designation indicating medium carbon content with strengthening alloys that include chromium, manganese, silicon, molybdenum, sulfur and phosphorus.
