American Society for Mass Spectrometry (ASMS) Past Events
ASMS sponsors the following conferences and events annually. Annual Conference on Mass Spectrometry and Allied Topics: The annual conference presents over 2,700 poster presentations and 384 talks. The conference location changes annually. Asilomar Conference on Mass Spectrometry This small conference is limited to 130 participants and takes place annually at the Asilomar Conference Center in Pacific Grove, CA. Fall Workshop This tutuorial workshop explores emerging technology for those seeking to learn the topic or who are new to the field. Attendance is normally 70 - 125 participants depending on the topic. The workshop locations changes annually. Sanibel Conference: This small conference highlights specific topics of current interest. This is a small conference limited to 150 participants. It is held annually in Florida.
St. Louis continues to reinvent itself with more than $5 billion being spent on development projects in the last ten years. Historic buildings in the Gateway City’s central business district are undergoing transformations and being re-purposed for 21st century uses. From loft condos, hotels and apartments to restaurants, retail and entertainment venues, St. Louis is enjoying new life. The ASMS Conference will be in America`s Center Convention Complex, 701 Convention Plaza, St Louis, MO 63101. The center offers compact and flexible space that is close to many hotels and restaurants. All sessions, posters and exhibits will take place in the Center. Corporate hospitality suites will be in the Renaissance Grand Hotel, less than one block from the Center.
The conference program is coordinated by Jenny Brodbelt (VP Programs), University of Texas - Austin. The schedule begins on Sunday, June 15 with tutorial lectures at 5:00 pm and the opening session and plenary lecture at 6:45 pm. A Welcome Reception in the poster/exhibit hall will follow.
Monday through Thursday are full program days of concurrent oral sessions, poster sessions, and workshops. Poster sessions are scheduled 10:30 am to 2:30 pm to allow four hours of viewing. The program will conclude on Thursday, June 19 with a plenary lecture followed by a Closing Event at the National Aquarium (ticket required).
The participation of the ASMS Corporate Members is an integral part of the conference. A Corporate Member exhibit booth or hospitality suite provides access to over 6,500 scientists attending one of the most dynamic scientific conferences in the world.
