AWC - ROSSEP Process Services

AWC has developed a process that simulates your water quality and system conditions so as to guarantee the recommended pH and antiscalant dosage for your operation. This process predicts the outcome of a RO/NF pilot for control of inorganic species without interference from organic, biological, or colloidal materials which would be present in a field study.
ROSSEP is an acronym for Reverse Osmosis Scaling Synthetically Emulated by Precipitation.

AWC - Membrane Cleaning Studies Services

Membrane Cleaning studies are an essential tool for ensuring a successful outcome when cleaning a membrane system. The use of inappropriate membrane cleaning chemicals or an unsuitable cleaning protocol can be a waste of money and valuable time.

AWC - Membrane System Monitoring and Optimization Services

The AWC® Filtration System Monitoring and Optimization Solution has been developed for Long-Term and Short-Term Monitoring and Performance Optimization for RO/MF/NF/UF Membrane Filtration systems. We can provide a strategy for formulating appropriate long-term monitoring programs that can be implemented at lower costs for maximum production efficiency. AWC® uses scientific and statistical methods applied to site-specific data that accounts for relevant current and historical site data to develop an optimization plan for the current system and the best possible solution.

AWC - Pilot Studies Services

AWC is able to conduct pilot studies using state of the art pilot R.O. units designed to simulate actual site conditions. These pilot plants are mobile and can be dispatched to the customer’s plant site on short notice. Through these studies, our engineers are able to recommend effective solutions to persistent scaling and fouling problems resulting in a trouble-free operation and reduced operating cost for the customer.

AWC - Reverse Osmosis Membrane Cleaning (Off-Site) Services

When You Need to Clean with Off-site Membrane Cleaning Chemicals? Some smaller membrane plants that use reverse osmosis membrane cleaning chemicals do not have Clean-In- Place (CIP) systems, while others are averse to handling chemicals, are unable to achieve an efficient membrane cleaning due to equipment limitations, or are limited by local discharge restrictions. In such cases, fouled membranes are replaced by a spare set and sent to an off-site facility for cleaning.

AWC - On-site Membrane Cleaning Service

On-site membrane cleaning with membrane cleaning chemicals and recommendations for the best membrane cleaning design. AWC® can provide personal and portable membrane cleaning chemicals & equipment for membrane cleanings at customers’ sites. AWC® can also train customer’s personnel on the operational and cleaning processes of RO plants.

AWC - Membrane Autopsy Services

The AWC® RO membrane autopsy includes over 20 specific tests on your RO  membrane. Each test is designed to provide a detailed investigative analysis providing specific scientific data related to the cause of membrane fouling and scaling.

AWC - Laboratory Services

AWC has the capability to conduct water analyses and membrane antiscalant projections for Reverse Osmosis and Nanofiltration systems. AWC can also conduct chemical dosage determinations for our antiscalants, coagulants, and flocculants. For clients with extreme scaling or inorganic fouling conditions, AWC can synthesize identical water chemistries in the lab to determine optimal pretreatment and control limits.

AWC - Materials Characterization Services

Our material characterization lab can analyze any unknown deposit found throughout your water treatment process.  Using our advanced analytical equipment, we can identify deposits on everything from SDI pads and cartridge filters to degasifier and scrubber media.  AWC is one of the only companies that will categorize the deposits as opposed to simply providing a list of elements and their percentages.

AWC - Water Analysis Services

We perform all water analyses at our facilty using state-of-the-art Inductively Coupled Plasmas (ICP), Ion-Chromatography (IC), and Spectrophotometry equipment.  Our water analysis includes all inorganic scale forming salts as well as contaminants that are targets for removal by RO.  Sampling at multiple points allows us to perform a mass balance to ensure that your flow meters are in calibration and that you are operating at the correct recovery.
